Electrical Engineering Electrical and Electronic Components Electrical and Electronic Components is a group within Electrical Engineering. The group is responsible for developing and specifying parts like alternators, electronic hardware, stalks, sensors, connectors etc. We are now seeking for a Project engineer - Electrical Power Management for group 26323 Electrical and Electronic components, Electrical Engineering. Tasks and Responsibilities As a Project engineer Electrical Power Management you will work in a team that are responsible for leading the development within the area of power management. Electrical Power Management covers alternators, batteries, main switches, relays, main fuse, battery sensors, battery management and power management. The work is done in very close cooperation with the global network within electrical & electronics engineering, as well as other departments such as engine development, chassis development, purchasing, production and test laboratories. As a Project engineer, you will be the key competence within various vehicle projects when it comes to the next generation of Electrical Power Management systems in Heavy Duty trucks. The task will contain both global responsibility for some components, as well as a support responsibility for other components with daily global contacts around Volvo 3P s different development sites. You will further more be responsible as single point of contact towards our preferred suppliers within the specific component area. You are responsible for making sure that you have control of the requested deliverables as well as the input to prepare technical requirement, test requirement and low level functional requirement specifications. Profile: You have an open and positive attitude, you are goal oriented, flexible and able to communicate and work on your own initiative You should be able to work on your own as well in a group/network in an equal manner The job is dependent of a good network within and outside the company; therefore your ability to communicate in English and to work with persons in different areas in a global multi-cultural environment is essential Experience from hybrid installation within the automotive industry or adequate high voltage experience from other type of industry is an advantage Qualification University degree in e.g. electronics, automation & mechatronics engineering or equivalent experience Experience from electrical development within automotive industry preferred Interest in and understanding of electrical issues and truck applications Very good knowledge in written and spoken English is mandatory The position will be located in Gothenburg.
