Energy Storage System (ESS) is responsible for battery development for the Volvo Group. We develop traction batteries suitable for all different applications within the group.
Volvo Group has taken a strategic approach to be in the forefront of electrification of commercial vehicles. We have many exiting technical challenges in front of us and many projects to execute. We are now looking for a key position in the electrification journey, Sub Project Leader Battery Pack and Thermal management. Does this sound interesting? 

About the role
Energy Storage System is developing batteries in-house, together with suppliers and integrate bought packs. As a Project Leader you will be the interface between tech teams and main project. You will work in different phases of product development from concept development to industrialization and maintenance.   You will lead cross-team activities, bridge information, secure deliveries, compile budgets and timeplans.

Your main responsibilities will be:
•    Be the Pack & Thermal line represent in the project and the project represent in the line organization.
•    Secure that Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature and Sustainability deliveries from the tech teams are meeting project requests.
•    Compile and follow up budgets and time plans.
•    Leading cross-functional team deliveries and work in close dialogue with other interfacing tech sections.
•    Take an active role in method and process development.

Requirements: 
•    Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
•    Experience in project management and/or component/system engineering preferably from traction battery development.
•    Experienced in automotive industry.
•    Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.
•    Fluent in English, verbally and in writing .
•    A strong drive and high energy level with ability to contribute to create a high performing working culture.
Meritorious: 
•    A certification within Project Management and/or Agile way of working 
•    Tool knowledge in KOLA, MS Project, JIRA
