Project leader / Foreman

ScanMarine is an exclusive interior and outfitting turnkey contractor for the worldwide marine and offshore industry. We are ready to meet the challenges of newbuilding, conversions, and refurbishment contracts for all types of vessels and oil rig quarters whilst paying as much attention to minor assignments as to larger projects.
As a Foreman at ScanMarine you are involved in the company's projects worldwide. The projects are about replacing smaller parts of existing equipment or fittings on vessels to install a completely new vessel from scratch. It can involve everything from public spaces, cabins and furniture to floors, ceilings and equipment that affect electricity and ventilation. You get in touch with areas within, for example, purchasing, finance, work management and participating in a lot of negotiations. The role thus places high demands on you taking a great responsibility. As you get warm in your clothes, your work tasks will also increase and will eventually mean:
- Calculation and quotation work for customers.
- Participation in ship inspections.
- Project management of own projects with support from experienced colleagues.
- Large contact areas with customers, suppliers, architects, fitters, shipyards, and shipping companies.


Job Description:
Be able to schedule work, do estimates and keep budgets.
Secure and make sure jobs get completed.
Be responsible for jobs from inception to completion.
Need to able to communicate with customers and with technicians.
Must have the ability to negotiate in pricing, as necessary.
Must have cost-saving initiatives with the respective category.
Familiar with repair and maintenance skills (plumbing, carpentry, piping, electrical etc.)
Ability to price jobs from reports from field technicians via photos, knowledge, and prior data.
English speaking and writing.

Job Requirements:
Must be a self-performer with minimum guidance.
Familiar with retail facilities background preferred.
Be able to handle and secure safety.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Must have knowledge of parts and construction equipment.
Must be knowledgeable in the use of various tools.
Must have the ability to manage employees and delegate them multiple and tasks.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
5+ years experience.
Experience in fast paced environment.
Drivers license.
