Department Driver Interaction & Infotainment part of the Electrical & Electronics System Engineering unit within Research and Development (R&D) is now looking for a Project leader for its newly started group Telephony & Telematics within Section Infotainment and Telematics. T
Your responsibilities as Project Leader will include:
Drive improvement activities in the group such as development of new Telematic services and functions within commodity area drive for cross functional commonality between Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) and Ford Motor Corporation (FMC) including processes and suppliers.
Ensure that the supply base for systems and components develops in line with a set strategy, be responsible for supplier quotation and take part in sourcing decisions
Ensure that feedback from the field and markets are implemented in future solutions, incl. research and consumer industry applications

Act as chairman on the cross functional decision forum for the system / component area be responsible for TTC (Time Technique and Cost) in the Car project.
Participate in the creation of the Group objectives
Play a role in defining and following the departments' order book and line budget

Some business travel will be expected

Personal Qualities/ Experience:

Detailed experience of validation of Electrical systems, preferable automotive validation practice
Detailed understanding of the product development process (Global Product Development System GPDS or similar)
Strong team player and relationship builder
Good practical and theoretical understanding of the Telecom area
Ability to successfully lead a team
Ability to show courage and build confidence
Good ability to get a total overview and priority between different
projects and also of the critical parameters in each project
Experience of working in an international environment
Fluent English speaking and communication skills both orally and written
Interested in the combination of technology, leadership & business
Qualifications:
Leadership/project management experience from preferable from Telecom
industry or similar
Experience from the Electrical product development
University education preferable Master in Electrical/IT engineering or
similar relevant experience
Experience of working in an international environment
