Project Manager - Radar Solution, Mission System

Your role

We are looking for a project manager to our project management organization in Product Unit - Mission System. We are today a team of 12 experienced project managers responsible for development-, production- and support contracts towards international customers.



As project managers you are responsible to lead development and production of radar systems and to lead integration of our Mission Systems at our system integrators and customers sites. You can also be responsible for our support to current customers to keep their systems working with high availability through professional technical support as well as repairs and replacements of spare parts.



The majority of development, production and integration activities takes place in Gothenburg, Kallebäck, but also at sub contractor's and customer sites. Most of our subcontractors and customers are situated abroad, which means that international travels are a natural part of our job. To work with prospects or additional sales to new potential or existing customers is a part of our responsibility to secure coming businesses.



As we have many ongoing contracts and prospects we need to strengthen our project management office with one project manager to meet these challenges.



Your profile

We are looking for you that have experience in project management and have a good understanding of its responsibilities and challenges. You can contribute with drive, enthusiasm and efficient communication in our team as well as project management expertise. You have or are willing to gain a technical knowledge of our systems, are able to regularly travel abroad for customer meetings, have experience in and enjoys to negotiate with our often international customers in project and contract matters as well in Sweden as at customer sites.

You probably have an university degree in engineering and communicates fluently in Swedish and English.

Business Area Surveillance - provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions and traffic management systems.

Business Unit Radar Solutions - has global responsibility for Saab's airborne surveillance solutions and fighter radars, as well as ground based and naval radar systems. The business unit is also responsible for missile data links and laser range finders. The unit has around 1100 employees and offices around the world, with the largest sites being Gothenburg (SE) and Syracuse (US).



Product Unit Mission System's - main responsibility is to develop and produce advanced sensors and systems for Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C), such as the ERIEYE. Saab is one of very few companies in the world with the capability to develop, produce and integrate such advanced systems. Saab has recently introduced our latest AEW&C, the "GlobalEye", that is a product in the very top AEW&C segment in the world.
