Project Manager, Operations Development

Project Manager, Operations Development

Arbetsbeskrivning

Have you been working as a project manager, or perhaps consultant for some years? Do you like to initiate and lead change and improvement initiatives, particularly from an operations and supply chain perspective? Are you looking for a new opportunity to collaborate, achieve and grow, both as a person and as a professional? Do you want to play an important role in Axis' effort to create a smarter, safer world? Well, this position could be exactly what you are looking for: we are currently looking for an experienced project manager to our Operations Development team.

Who are we?
At Axis, we strive for a smarter, safer world. With an eye on the future and on our customers' evolving needs, we think beyond the obvious to make a meaningful difference to people's lives. We thrive in a friendly, open and collaborative environment that welcomes and embraces new perspectives, making the complex simple and creating industry-leading, cutting-edge solutions. Yes, we might be a little biased, but working at Axis is indeed a privilege. We are surrounded by great colleagues, and our culture is characterized by openness, curiosity, trust and honesty. We care about your individual progress and about you as a person. While we love what we do and work hard during office hours, we also value other things in life: our bike parking tends to be quite empty after five o'clock.

And what is Operations?
Operations is the part of Axis' organization that is responsible for the supply and distribution of our products. We are also the link between Axis R&D and our global market, working with industrialization of new products. This includes e.g. Purchasing, Order Handling, Production, Sourcing, Production Preparation, Sales & Operations Planning, Quality & Environment, and Logistics. Today we are some 400 persons working within Operations. Based in Lund, we interact with other Axis departments and a worldwide network of customers, distributors, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and our configuration and logistics centers. Apart from delivering what is needed to today's market, we are currently working hard to prepare for the significant growth projected in the coming years. We are on a journey into an even more digitized world, and this does not only include harnessing digitalization in general, but also fine-tuning our global footprint and supplier relations as well as improving and developing our processes. This effort is central to the Operations Development team. We develop and improve Operations, both internally and externally, i.e. both within Axis and in our global supply chain. With our customers in focus, we improve e.g. in terms of time, cost, quality, efficiency, effectiveness, creativity and well-being. You will be an important part of this team and will take full ownership of your projects.

What will you do? Are you the one that we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with an engineering education, most likely from Industrial Engineering & Management (I) or Mechanical Engineering (M), or a similar background. Your studies were probably focused on Supply Chain Management with good academic results, and you have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and social - teamwork and collaboration are essential to your success at Axis. In addition, you are structured and analytical. You can work independently but at the same time you successfully collaborate across organizational and cultural borders. You have experience and a proven track record of initiating, executing and completing supply chain and business improvement projects. To be successful in this role you need strong communication skills; both Swedish and English are absolute requirements. You will work closely with the project stakeholders to fully understand their issues, create and implement strategies for change, and turn potential into performance. You enjoy and excel at developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders. You also thrive in an environment where you plan your own activities, drive initiatives and take responsibility for the result. A strong drive and self-leadership are essential.

Axis' business is truly global (at least during normal circumstances…), and some international travelling must be expected in due time.

Don´t take our words for granted - Come and interview us!
Axis is an open, conscious and engaged company. This is reflected in our recruitment process: it is probably slightly different than what you have heard of before. This is important: remember that you have an equal role in this process, and that you need to build your perception of future colleagues, manager and our company culture. Make sure that you have spent some time before your interview to find out what you would like to know when we meet. Remember that you are interviewing us as much as we are interviewing you!
