Project Manager Support - PureBallast

Ballast water treatment is one of the big growth potentials in the maritime industry, driven by environmental legislation. PureBallast - a system developed by Alfa Laval and Wallenius Water, prevents the spread of invasive organisms between the oceans. We have a market leading position and since the launch in 2006, we have sold over 1700 systems to ship owners and shipyards worldwide. In the coming years the business in this global and dynamic market will grow rapidly. We are looking for a Project Manager to our dedicated PureBallast team. So, what are you going to do today?

Who you are
About the jobAs a Project Manager, you will be a part of our customer support team where you will work with different projects. Together with our global project leaders, you will plan and implement installation projects on customers ships. You will also be leading different improvement projects within our organization. The work will include daily international contacts both within and outside of the company.
Your main tasks:

Project Planning: Work Breakdown Structure, Resources allocation, Progress monitoring and closure
Project Budgeting, reporting, monitoring and closing
Motivate and drive project team
Educate our local project leaders in our Sales companies

Who are you?As a person we expect you to be responsible, independent and social. You always put the customer first and easily work with different people from culturally diverse backgrounds. You should enjoy having accountability for a project, including planning and follow up the processes without leaving anything to chance.
What you know

You hold a degree in Engineering at university level
You are educated in project management and have at least 5 years’ experience from managing large projects
You are good at managing inter-personal relationship combining good technical skills with good management skills
Your work approach is constructive, structured and systematic.
Great skills in English both in speech and in writing.
Fluent in Swedish is preferred.

PracticalitiesThe Project Manager Support will be based in Alfa Lavals office in Tumba, Sweden. The expected starting date is as soon as possible. The PureBallast product is marketed and sold entirely by Alfa Laval and you will act within the global Alfa Laval organization. You will be employed by AlfaWall AB.
