Project Manager to our software development team

Project Manager to our software development team

Arbetsbeskrivning

Because of the large number of exciting projects going on at IAR Systems right now, we are looking to expand our Project Manager team.
About the role
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for leading one or more software development projects, as well as providing release engineering for product release projects, with an aim to make sure your projects are carried out as smoothly as possible. In your day-to-day work, you will engage with skilled and experienced software engineers to drive the projects forward to completion. Your main areas of responsibility will be frequent and incremental planning together with your project teams, consolidating and upholding project plans, keeping things moving forward, and making sure projects are delivered according to goals and in time. This requires close contact and collaboration with various stake holders, such as Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Lead Engineers. You will also contribute to improving project processes and project management tools. If you are interested, there can also be opportunities for more technical hands-on work related to the build and release processes.
You will report to the Director of Engineering and will be located in Uppsala, with the opportunity to partly work from our Stockholm office.
Your qualifications and experience
You have some previous project management experience with the know-how and ability to plan and uphold project plans, and deliver accordingly. As a project manager, you must be able to coach and focus your team in a delivery-focused environment. You speak and write both Swedish and English fluently.
Communication is your most important tool. You will build and inspire your project teams by enabling a creative atmosphere that challenges everyone to do their best. To be successful in this role, we believe you will bring a positive attitude, have the ability to give and receive constructive feedback, and gain the trust of your team.
Your application will receive extra credit if you have experience with DevOps, Cloud platforms, and Linux. In addition, it is a bonus if you have domain knowledge in any of the areas of microprocessor architecture, embedded systems, hardware-oriented development, or software development tools, such as compilers, debuggers, IDE, etc.
What are we offering?
You will be part of a multi-cultural and global business in a fast growing industry, an organization where every co-worker’s individual role is a very important part in the big picture. We are welcoming, open to new ideas, and take pride in our achievements. We offer you the opportunity to work in a knowledge-sharing environment with a strong team spirit, where curiosity is valued. We will support you in growing both professionally and as an individual. We are problem-solvers and take on new challenges with excitement and energy, which is why we place great emphasis on your personal qualities and their alignment with our values.
Are you the person we are looking for? Please email us your application with cover letter and resume/CV today, and put “Project Manager” in the subject line. Selection and interviews will take place on a continuous basis and the post may be filled before the closing date, so apply as soon as possible.
If you have questions please reach out to Susanne Dahlén, Director of Engineering. Contact details below.
