Project Manager - Visual Merchandising Operations

We are looking for an experienced project manager to join our Editorial Design Operations team.
In this role, you will initiate, resource, maintain and lead projects, tasks, and requests for Artwork design for all types of Owned & Operated content within the Spotify product. You will work closely with a team of Art Directors and the Design Manager based in Stockholm and be responsible for resourcing, project managing, stakeholder management (focused on EMEA and APAC) and overall operations to facilitate great collaborations between the Visual Merchandising team, external partners (agencies and freelancers) and internal stakeholders as well as be responsible for planning and project prioritization and make sure the day-to-day workstreams run efficiently.
Our team’s mission is to provide operational expertise and leadership for Visual Merchandising and partners by developing and implementing standard methodologies, effective programs, and clear processes to drive efficiency and enable creativity across all Visual Merchandising projects.
Visual Merchandising connect users to content they’ll love through beautiful, relevant, and high quality visuals. We are a distributed team of creatives - designers, art buyers, photo researcher, Project-, Program- and Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientist and Design Managers who are passionate about helping Spotify customers connect with content they’ll love. We build moving and functional artwork and visual design for the Spotify product that attracts and retains a diverse customer base across every active market. We build brands, and product experiences for a global audience spread across 183 markets (and counting). At the center of our remit, we drive the global creative direction of over 12,000 iconic Spotify playlists.


What you will do:
Act as the liaison between VM Artwork team and our collaborators, both internally and externally.
Together with the responsible design manager evaluate opportunities and prioritize and operationalize them for the team.
Facilitate research and experiments to gather quantitative and qualitative data
Engage with product, marketing, and user research teams to identify the needs of listeners across merchandising opportunities.
When needed - suggest, try out and evaluate new tools, processes, and other workflow improvements that will help the team and working groups be productive.
Bring clarity to cross-functional projects and workflows for team members and partners.
Initiate and drive kick-offs for new projects, plan and assign resources, communicate progress and set up and facilitate retrospectives/post mortems when needed.
Make sure projects run efficiently and that the team has what they need to deliver great work.
Drive delivery of projects, ensuring that we deliver work on time and move towards the overarching objectives set out.
Develop communication plans to ensure other teams at Spotify know what we are working on and how to collaborate with us.

Who you are:
You have 7+ years of experience as a project manager in a creative agency/in-house agency (digital experience is a must).
You are comfortable with ambiguity and shaping projects from little details.
You’re familiar with various project management tools.
You’re flexible and can quickly adapt to change.
You facilitate continuous improvement.
You’re people-focused with a lot of emotional intelligence and an excellent communicator, respectful to collaborators at all levels across the organization.
You are diligent and a master of time management; both for yourself and your collaborators.
You’re a ‘do-er’ and take a hands-on approach to solving challenges.
You’re systematic and provide scalable solutions to problems rather that on offs.
