Project Officer

World Bioenergy Association (WBA) is accepting applications from outstanding candidates for the position of Project Officer at WBA.  The candidate will support the Secretariat in various activities including but not limited to publications, events, projects and international collaborations.

World Bioenergy Association is a member-based NGO located in Stockholm, Sweden. Established in 2008, WBA is currently one of the largest global network of bioenergy stakeholders. WBA mission is to promote the sustainable development of bioenergy on a global level. Current members include companies, research organizations, national/regional associations and individuals from more than 60 countries.


Position
WBA is seeking highly motivated candidates with an interest to contribute to our mission to promote sustainable bioenergy worldwide. The candidate is expected to proactively contribute in executing WBA activities including publications (factsheets, statistics reports, policy papers and magazine), events (trade missions, conferences, annual meetings), projects and international collaborations. The project officer will report directly to the Executive Director and the position will be based in our Secretariat in Stockholm, Sweden.


Qualifications
·     A Master’s degree in engineering, science or relevant backgrounds
·     Strong analytical skills
·     Knowledge about bioenergy technologies and policies
·     Proficiency in editing software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·     Knowledge of design software (e.g. InDesign) preferable
·     Fluency in English
