Project Purchaser

The Job As a central department within the Supply Chain department, the Purchase department is responsible for sourcing and purchasing of components to our analytical solutions.The Purchase department is divided into 3 key areas, working with Operational, Project and Strategic Purchasing.You will be responsible for leading the purchasing side of many of our product development projects, coordinating efforts with your operational and strategic colleagues.Sourcing and Purchasing - delivering results Your key areas of responsibilities will be: . Representing Purchasing in the different phases of the product development projects which covers many different technologies .Ensuring that the commercial and logistical aspects are covered in the product development projects in accordance with the purchasing strategy and overall Supply Chain policy . Finding and auditing of new suppliers if needed in a specific project .Representing FOSS A/S when the initial discussions about new components are made with the suppliers . Assuring that the necessary agreements etc.is made in co-operation with Strategic Purchasing .Procuring parts for prototypes . Creating master data, supplier data, purchasing data etc.on new components Developing a good supplier base for prototypes and secure efficient supply chain when handing over to operations.Qualifications A candidate for this position must meet the following requirements: . As a minimum hold bachelor's degree in a relevant area, preferably engineering . Have 5+ yrs working experience with Sourcing and/or purchasing with documented results . Documented project involvement and/or project management experience . Experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and with ERP systems (SAP) .
