Project Sourcing Manager to Scania

About the Role:
Join Scania´s global purchasing team at the forefront of electrification projects! As a Project Sourcing Manager for Sheet Metal, Pipes, and Fasteners, you´ll play a pivotal role in critical projects with a focus on parts where Scania owns the design. This position offers an exciting challenge within the dynamic field of electrification, where your responsibilities include setting material group and supplier strategies, negotiating prices, and ensuring seamless collaboration across functions. 

This role is as a consultant via Adecco that is planned to start within immediate affect, and will initially go on for approximately 4 months. For the right candidate there are great opportunities for extension

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute material group strategies.
- Drive Forward Sourcing plans aligned with global sourcing strategies.
- Source parts within product development projects, ensuring adherence to strategies and business plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Production, and Market teams.
- Lead negotiations, manage technical aspects, and ensure project timelines.

About the Team:
You´ll be part of a diverse and dedicated team based in the modern Scania Purchasing office in Södertälje. The Person We´re Looking For:
We´re seeking an individual with a background in purchasing or commercial roles, ideally with experience in the manufacturing industry. A strong interest in both business and technology is crucial, as is the ability to handle complex technical questions while maintaining commercial responsibility. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

- Master´s degree in science, economics, or equivalent knowledge.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in purchasing or similar commercial roles.
- Strong interest in business and technology.
- Ability to handle stress and manage multiple topics simultaneously.
