Novozymes Biopharma AB is a subsidiary of Novozymes A/S performing microbiologically based contract manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).Our main customers are industries within the pharmaceutical and biotech area.We are situated in Lund, Sweden, where we have modern laboratories and production facilities.The number of employees today is 88, whereof 10 are working in the Department of Biochemical analysis. Due to an increasing demand of our contract manufacturing services the Department of Biochemical analysis seeks a new co-worker.Protein Characterization scientist You will be a part of the Department of biochemical analysis at Novozymes Biopharma AB.You work will involve use of different chromatographic techniques like HPLC, LC/MS and spectroscopic techniques for protein characterization.Furthermore, you will gradually be responsible for driving development and technology transfer activities within analysis area.You will prepare, evaluate and document experiments and will also to some extent together with a team of lab technicians conduct experimental work.Furthermore, you will participate in the evaluation of customer projects and will be partially responsible for purchasing analysis related equipment.The work is performed in close collaboration with other departments, our customers and in compliance with GMP. We believe that you have at least a Master of Science degree in biochemistry or comparable educations within the scientific/technical field.You should have theoretical and practical experiences of protein- chemistry, -analysis and -characterization, preferably from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.It is also essential that you have a keen interest in laboratory work and maintenance especial regarding techniques like LC/MS etc.Since we operate in an international environment and in compliance with GMP you must be able to document and communicate your results in both Scandinavian languages and English.As a person you should be independent, driving, methodical, analytical, accurate and a strong team player.
