Sandvik holds a world-leading position on the rock processing market, delivering cutting edge products and solutions to customers around the globe. To further accelerate the growth and focus on this area, we’ve established the new business area Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP), consisting of the
former Crushing and Screening division. A place of inclusive collaboration, agility and innovation – where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market, and where pioneering software technology meets the core of manufacturing.

At the Procurement department within division Stationary Crushing & Screening, we deliver first-class service through collaboration with our extensive global network of suppliers for our production unit in Svedala, as well as our central warehouse for spare parts in the Netherlands. To strengthen our open-minded and forward-thinking team, we’re now looking for a solution-oriented Purchaser to join us as we develop our business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s ready to make a mark in a global organization and enjoys challenges, thriving when having a lot in your pipeline.

Your mission
In this position, you create a seamless flow for our day-to-day business; ensuring that all purchasing activities in our area – equipment and aftermarket – are fully aligned with our overall strategy. You’re responsible for leading weekly and monthly follow-up meetings with your suppliers, where you focus on optimizing our KPI’s regarding on time delivery, availability, lead times, forecast planning, buffer stock and capacity. Naturally, you also have a tight collaboration with our sourcing team, who negotiate prices and agreements with our suppliers.

Using your excellent communication skills and ability to network, you establish and manage stable relationships and information flows with our suppliers. You also ensure a high level of collaboration with internal stakeholders – departments such as planning, production, sourcing, warehouses, customer service, R&D and lifecycle – in order to reach our goals and grow together.

Other important parts of your mission are:

Manage, monitor and act according to KPI’s and develop action plans to correct gaps and reach our target.
Develop and execute the purchasing role on daily basis according to our process to fulfill customer demand.
Achieve correct inventory and service level targets.
Implement and execute the best procurement model depending on the supplier capabilities.
Give input and participate in updates and changes of our policies and principles.
Leade and participate in purchasing projects and activities.

The location for this position is in Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities, such as Malmö, Lund and Ystad, and with our site located just across from the train station.

Your character
We’re looking for a purchaser with a bachelor´s degree in logistics, business administration or engineering, or equivalent knowledge gained from work experience. You have a minimum of three years’ experience in purchasing combined with an understanding of manufacturing and supply for manufacturing. To be successful in this role you need capability to handle a large amount of purchase orders and data and are naturally an excellent Excel and PPT user. If you also have knowledge in Power Bi, M3, S21 it’s beneficial. Working in a global organization calls for excellent English skills, verbally and in writing.

You’re open-minded and a true team player, although you don’t mind working alone and enjoy an everchanging environment. You easily establish and build strong networks and, with a structured way of working you can see both the details and the big picture. Your analytical skills are exceptional, and your positivity is a cornerstone in your personality – enabling you to see possibilities instead of problems and you’re ready to drive this area on your own!
