Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

At Purchasing, we are supporting this journey by making sure we are continuously working with suppliers that are best in class in their field including cost, quality, delivery and sustainability. We are now looking at extending our team with one more member.

We are a team of five experienced purchaser professionals and our area is within electrification especially with charging in focus, including both charging components onboard the vehicles as well as charging infrastructure solutions offered together with our vehicles. We have a strong team spirit and a clear “can do” mindset, especially in tricky situations. We believe in clarity and openness, mutual interdependence among team members and the power of collective learning.

The responsibility


• Responsible within purchasing for the area Charging Infrastructure Installation & support
• Exploring this new business area for Scania in cooperation with Sales & Marketing and Business units
• Set the sourcing strategy
• Perform the sourcing in close cooperation with Scania business units and Sales & Marketing
• Safeguard that Scania´s high demands on Quality, Deliveries, Sustainability and cost are met, both in the sourcing process as well as in the duration of the supplier contract period.

Who are you?


• You are an engineer or business graduate with at least 3 years’ experience in purchasing/sales or engineering.
• It is a merit if you have experience working with general provisions for construction, civil engineering and installation contracts (e.g AB04 and ABT06 in Sweden)
• You have a commercial and technical interest, are result-oriented, have a strong ability to take initiative, are able to handle multiple open cases and have the ability to look ahead and think strategically.
• Are a great teammate and have natural leadership skills
• You are good at maintaining relationships and enjoy having many contacts, both internally and externally.
• Yoy are comfortable studying agreements of different kinds
• Feel comfortable presenting business cases in top management meeting
• As the role involves a large international network and travel, you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken English. Swedish is an advantage as well as other language skills.
