COMPANY PRESENTATION Division Car Accessories Europe/Asia is the largest division within the Thule Group, the worlds leading supplier of load carriers for cars.The Division delivers roof boxes, roof rails and bike carriers under the premium brand Thule.The Division, based in Hillerstorp, Sweden, has six production facilities in Europe and Asia.The Thule Group has around 2,300 employees at some 20 production and sales units in all the worlds major car markets.The Group also offers snow chains and trailers under the brands König, Brenderup and Thule Rental.The turnover amounts to SEK 3,2 billion.Thule has its headquarter in Malmö, Sweden.Majority owner is the UK-based private equity company Candover.PRESENTATION OF THE JOB Role Description As Purchasing and Planning Manager you will be responsible for leading the order fulfilment efforts by ensuring a professional process of purchase and planning of incoming goods and raw material to optimize production capacity and flow.Furthermore it is of most importance to develop reliable and professional relationships with the subcontractors for components to guarantee cost accuracy and deliveries. Key Deliverables Support the plant to keep performance targets in terms of cost and lead times with capacity to handle fluctuation due to seasonality or other reasons.Achieve identified cost savings through a strong purchasing performance.Deliver agreed results and commitments and be active in implementing new solutions.Through respectful and trustful leadership build reliable relationship throughout the organization. Key Challenges Manage change process effectively in driving lean manufacturing thinking by rationalizing the product planning and material supply process.Monitoring the market on raw material prices.Identify alternative, new raw materials or suppliers.Build strong relationship with suppliers and develop accurate procedures to monitor and follow up of supplier performance. Profile Academic degree with a proven experience and success in managing a purchasing and planning group with a wide range of raw materials.Experience in change management, especially in lean and flow group manufacturing.Good leadership and management style.Excellent negotiation skills.Proven analytical and technical skills.Strong team player with good communication skills.
