Purchasing and Planning Manager - Rock Tools Sandviken

Arbetsbeskrivning

At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions and division Rock Tools, we’re currently making changes to enable easier collaboration, synergies, and smoother ways of working. In line with this, we’re looking for a Purchasing and Planning Manager for our production unit in Sandviken. A true networker with a visionary and agile approach, who’s eager to inspire development, support growth and lift our performance even higher.
Division Rock Tools deliver advanced products and solutions for the mining and construction industries, serving customers across all continents. Keeping up with our visions, culture and values, our ambition is to drive important shifts and advance the world through engineering, and we aim for nothing but excellence in all our operations. We’re also proud to offer you a workplace where personal development and work-life balance are considered keys to success. Welcome to join our exciting organization!
About the job
In this position, you take the overall responsibility, including operational safety, for the Planning, Purchasing (operational and tactical), Material Handling, Packing and Dispatch functions at our production unit Sandviken. You ensure that both direct and indirect material suppliers deliver according to our forecast, quality and environmental demands. Being cost conscious is always on your agenda, and you take care of supplier development, performance follow-up, agreements and tactical positioning and choosing suppliers for externally manufactured parts and products. You ensure that everything we do aligns with our business strategy and demands, as well as legal requirements.
With a forward-looking approach, you drive continuous improvements where it has the biggest impact for our business results and develop the processes within your function towards increased digitalization and cost-savings – ensuring buy-in, ways of working and clear routines. By collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders across our global organization, you make sure that we work towards the same goals.
You’re part of the management team at Production Unit Sandviken, and that’s also where your office is. Some travel is a natural part of your job.
About you
You have at least five years’ experience from a managerial position within supply, planning, logistics or other related area, where you’ve acquired knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP S4/HANA. Your experience is backed by a relevant degree or similar knowledge gained through a working career. Previous experience of process development and digitalization, especially in an industrial environment, is very beneficial. Initiating change, setting structured ways of working and creating commitment comes easy to you. As we’re a global player with local presence, you need to be fluent in both English, while Swedish is an advantage.
Yes, your background is important, but we’re equally passionate about your personality. Your biggest asset is your inclusive and agile leadership skills, and you have the ability to make every individual seen and use a steady but listening management style. With a strategic, analytical and holistic view, you respond timely on business requirements, deliver results, and encourage improvements. In all of your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations, and you empower people to find efficient solutions, look at new perspectives and share best practices.
