The current allocations and limitations of Semiconductors in the world globally have created a need for a new way of thinking within the Electronics value chain. The need of advanced electronics for the disrupting technological areas of Autonomous, Connectivity and Electrification and thereby semiconductor will continue to grow in order to support the SCANIA transformation journey. Our existing way of working needs to be challenged, we need to work on supply chain robustness and secure semiconductors throughout the entire product life cycle and enable access to innovation. 
As Purchasing specialist for strategic semiconductor management, you will be part of the Electronics team, however the scope of semiconductors is linked to many different areas of our organization and your network will be extensive. 

Responsibilities


 Contribute to the overall Scania semiconductor purchasing strategy.
 Lead several projects connected to strategic semiconductor management, from long-term capacity management to obsolescence management 
 Contribute to the development of risk mitigation measures to increase semiconductor supply chain resilience.
 Manage as part of a dedicated team the current and future semiconductor business from TQDCS point of view. (TechnologyQualityDeliveryCostSustainability)
 Improve our current sourcing process for Electronics to include the semiconductor ecosystem.
 Build and maintain relationship with semiconductor companies, distributors and brokers
 Identify potential business opportunities and collaboration areas with the semiconductor eco-system.
 Build up business intelligence for semiconductors, including macroeconomical factors.
 Together with a cross functional team, develop the semiconductor expertise within the Scania group and their affiliated companies of the TRATON group.
 Become an interface to the VW strategic semiconductor management team




Qualifications


 Business experience, preferably in direct connection to the semiconductor industry and/or the automotive industry, or experience in business development.
 You have the ability to collaborate as well as build trust and you are clear in your communication with others. You are able to challenge existing structures as a driver of change management.
 The ability to take ownership of various tasks is necessary and problem solving skills in combination with analytical and strategic mindset is a must. We also think that you are result oriented and like doing business.
 Have a commercial mindset, technical interest and love to build relations and to establish an industry network.
 Enjoy working in an agile team towards a common goal and being a representative of Scania Purchasing towards internal functions and suppliers. 
 You are able to drive initiatives from a holistic perspective and you are able to present complex issues to Scania executive level.
 You are self-driven, ambitious and able to set and achieve your own goals.
 Knowledge in electronics and semiconductors is preferred but not required
 Be able to travel occasionally to build up an industry network with potential partners
 Flexibility to work according to Scania’s working model, aiming for a balanced work between our offices and from home
 Very good language skills in English is a requirement. German or Swedish can be a facilitator but is not required.
