Geodis Wilson is the Freight Management Division of the Geodis Group, global supplier of logistics services.With 5,700 employees in over 50 countries, Geodis Wilson offers tailor-made, integrated freight solutions that deliver cargo by sea and air.We provide our customers with a comprehensive view and control by making the supply chain transparent and easy to manage.In 2008, Geodis became part of the French rail and freight group SNCF.With its 50,000 employees in 120 countries, SNCF Geodis is rated one of the top six companies in its field in the world.Geodis Wilson in the Nordics, headquartered in Gothenburg, has approximately 650 employees.Read more at www.geodiswilson.se.Geodis Wilson[are now looking for a Qualified[Accountant .A new Nordic structure will be built up and will operate on a cross-country level.It will thereby allow a fully utilization of the various functions in the companies in the Nordics.Finance and administration is a Nordic function with the mission to: .[[[[[[[[[ Deliver accurate, reliableand relevantfinancial information at the right timeand to the right receiver .[[[[[[[[[ Providebusiness decision-making support in Finance .[[[[[[[[[ Focus country / branch level on business performanceby moving administrative work to the support functions at the Nordic regional level .[[[[[[[[[ Increase efficiency and impactof the Finance support function The position is located in Göteborg and the Group language is English.Job description The Accountant's main responsibility is to prepare and deliver the monthly and year-end closing and reporting.Also you are responsible for handling accounting and tax matters as well as governmental reporting (statistics).The key activities of the Accountant are; .[[[[[[[[[ Reconciliation of G/L accounts .[[[[[[[[[ Prepare monthly and year-end closing (account and record accrual, provisions, pre-payments, depreciations, FX-revaluations) .[[[[[[[[[ Group reporting and preparation of Statutory Reports and Tax Returns .[[[[[[[[[ Prepare monthly VAT-Tax Returns .[[[[[[[[[ Communicating with authorities .[[[[[[[[[ Prepare Group invoices for recharge of costs..[[[[[[[[[ Prepare governmental reporting (statistics, SCB etc) .[[[[[[[[[ Prepare company formalities (General Meeting Minutes, filing of Statutory Reports, Board Changes) .[[[[[[[[[ Maintain the accounts structure (enter new/rename accounts and connections (account vs dept)) The job requires regularly overtime work.Also it will require some travelling to Denmark, especially in the beginning of 2011.Requirements * University degree within Finance * Experience in management within international environment (to meet strict deadlines) * Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting and closing Personal skills * Average/good knowledge in Tax and VAT * Excellent user of MS Excel * English speaking, reading and writing good working knowledge * Danish speaking, reading and writing * Strong sense of accuracy and for efficiency * "Self driving"/enterprising * Good at communicating Application This recruitment is being conducted in collaboration with SJR in Scandinavia AB.Please apply as soon as possible, but no later than[ December the 30th.
