Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a QA Engineer for the Technical QA team. You will be testing the server-side components. You will be working in Scrum sprints, with focus on VMWare virtualization technologies (for Windows and Linux) and continuous improvement of the company's technical infrastructure for testing. We are looking for a technical QA engineer with the following qualities: - A background in software testing (or experience as a database administrator, technical support specialist or programmer), or strong will to learn in this area. - A desire and will to improve the quality of our deliverables. Experience of technical and software development operations with a focus on non-functional testing. - Good social skills, flexible and stress tolerant. - Excellent spoken and written English knowledge as English is our corporate language. No Swedish knowledge is necessary. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills. - The ability to recognize and follow through on test cases that should/could be automated. - Technology focus on Microsoft Windows platform and related technologies, VMWare ESX virtualization platform and Microsoft SQL Server, or willing to learn. - Advantageous (but not necessary) if you have experience in the following technologies: Linux, Solaris, Sybase ASE and Python scripting as well as server hardware knowledge. - A desire and interest in keeping in touch with relevant technology developments. The position requires that you: - Work in collaboration with developers as well as other QA members on QA related matters. - Carry out tests of bug fixes and new functionality in our software. - Contribute to test process improvements on various levels such as automation. - Maintaining the Windows related test environment including VMWare ESX environment (with relevant virtual machines). - Contribute to development of the test environment infrastructure.
