Our mission in 94024, Forward Model Quality, is to provide expertise, processes and practices that contribute significantly to that our future car models have the right quality. The number of software components in our cars is increasing, thereby increasing the focus on software quality and agile software development.

In 94024 we are 8 Software Quality Assurance Engineers (SWQA), 5 Quality Engineers (QE), 2 Senior Quality Engineers (SQE), 1 Master Black Belt (MBB), 1 Unit Customer Satisfaction Manager, 1 D&D Cost Estimator and 1 Manager. We are 6 women and 13 men, between about
35 and 65 years, who have backgrounds from different countries and cultures.

We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer.

Main Responsibilities


.Secure that the decided quality processes, methods and tools are followed in the projects and report the status
.Actively support the PSSs by participating in risk assessment, planning and recommend quality
.methods and tools
.Actively support the PSSs with their quality roadmap and PRAs (Prevent Recurrence Action)
.Provide quality history to the PSSs based on customer surveys, Volvo Car's warranty system etc.
.Contribute to improvements of the quality processes, methods and tools
.Teach about quality processes, methods and tools, such as FMEA

Required Qualifications
.Master of Science in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
.At least 4 years of relevant work experience
.Experience from different technology areas in the automotive industry
.Certified Green Belt in Six Sigma
.Understanding and experience of the Volvo Car's development processes
.Understanding and experience of quality assurance, for example simulation and calculation
.Fluent in English written and spoken
