Our Exciting Opportunity
The radio unit is the entrance into the telecommunication network, and the radio units is built around the radio System-on-chip solutions, including ASIC’s and FPGA’s. This team is responsible for the systemization of these circuits.
Our assignments stretch from pre product investigations to customer, and we are not done until we have delivered with quality to customer.
To achieve the right solution for our customers we take advantage of the newest technology on the market, including upcoming semiconductor nodes and state of the art RF-IC solutions.
The teamwork is performed in close collaboration with Strategic Product Management and other System and Design teams, to optimize the whole Radio solution
The competence, drive and balance in our team is key for our success.

Job Description
Your main responsibility will be the systemization of our control sub area, which includes the radio control and supervision function in the ASIC and between ASIC and external components/devices.
The work as a system designer for our control functions includes, but is not limited to:
Drive partitioning of real time critical and general control functions
Perform system solution analysis of high-level radio control and supervise functions, and when required dig down into the details
Drive an “easy to use and configure” system solution while maintaining the right level of flexibility
Participate, or drive, pre-development work and studies
In the projects drive for timely systemization decisions within the area
Create, set and document requirements for our System-on-chip designs to enable a best in class implementation
Work closely with related design areas such as software and analogue radio and other system teams.
We are working with an end to end mentality: strong support to design and validation teams are considered as success factors.



Position Qualifications
A master’s degree, or PhD, in electrical engineering, engineering physics or similar work experience
5+ years in Design & Development or system roles
Understanding of IO peripheral requirements, such as I3C, PCIe, SPI etc.
Experience in designing systems using ASIC or FPGA solutions
Service minded and self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand ones’ knowledge
Have a creative and innovative mentality
Take accountability together with the team for the design delivered to customer
Result-oriented and have good interpersonal skills.
Always look for ways to improve the work
Candidate should be fluent in English.



In addition to this, skills that carry merit include
Leadership within radio product development
Experience in PCB design
Experience working in requirement settings and standardization
RAN knowledge
Experience from radio development
Experience of radio function systemization and control software
Knowledge of radio system architecture and 3GPP Radio standardization
