Radio communication system engineer

Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) is a recognized system integrator and supplier of small and micro-satellites.We are also specialised in developing Attitude Orbit & Control Systems, advanced on-board data handling system units, on-board basic and applications software, propulsion systems, and ground systems for testing and mission control.Additionally, we have extensive operational experience.SSC has been the prime contractor for a number of small satellites in which it has been both effective and successful.The second is the first European lunar probe SMART-1 that we built for ESA.Current projects at the Space Systems Division include the first European formation flying mission PRISMA, ESA's first formation flying mission PROBA-3, a contribution to a European small geostationary communications satellite, and the development of an orbital life extension vehicle (OLEV), for telecommunications satellites which is based on SMART-1. The Space Data Systems Department of the Space Systems Division is currently searching for qualified engineers to participate in the development and test of future satellites RF systems.Relevant experience from other radio implementations such as aircraft systems can also be considered relevant.The person does not necessary have to be a radio designer but should have the necessary skills to specify and manage the procurement of items belonging to a RF communications system. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS MSc "Radio communication systems engineering", or equal, are needed to for the specification, procurement and tests of satellite RF system .Several years of professional experience from industry or academia and within the area of RF communication systems (transmitters, receivers, antennas, switches etc) .Very good knowledge of RF system testing and design.Define, perform and evaluate adequate tests (function, environmental etc) on unit level as well as on system level .Fluency in English, written and spoken WORKING SITUATION You will be working in an informal dynamic environment in cooperation with other subsystems and in many cases with direct customer or subcontractor contracts.A high degree of personal responsibility is expected at all levels of work.The working languages are Swedish and English.
