Johnson & Johnson Vision in Uppsala produce the ophthalmic viscoelastic device Healon. We manufacture our products from scratch. A substance is produced from raw materials and is through different steps in production processed to finished products. The whole process takes several days and monitored closely. A variety of quality assurance measures are made continuously. It is important that the product is free from particles, fibers and odor. Improvements to the product and the process are made continuously to lift the organization to a more efficient level and to position ourselves in front of our competitors. At our site in Uppsala, there are many different tasks and employees with different experiences and skills. We are about 120 employees located in Uppsala and 8 400 employees worldwide within Johnson & Johnson Vision.

Raw Material Planner / Buyer Johnson & Johnson Uppsala
The Supply Chain department is responsible for Supply Network Planning, Production Planning, Direct Material Planning & Buying and Distribution activities. The Planner/Buyer Direct Materials is responsible for planning & buying of all direct materials, follow up on deliveries from the suppliers and meeting inventory requirements to support the continuity of production on our site.

Objectives Of The Position
Creates purchase orders for all direct materials based on MRP requirements, communicates and follows-up with suppliers to ensure on time in full delivery.
Responsible for setting inventory targets and maintaining inventory levels of direct materials.
Creates monthly forecasts for direct materials, communicates and follows-up with direct material suppliers.
Understands capacity, order quantities and lead times of direct materials suppliers.
Creates yearly budget volumes for direct materials.
Reports reserves list direct materials to Finance on monthly basis.
Manages Master Data, MRP planning parameters and purchase specification information for new and existing direct material codes in SAP.
Manages discontinuation process for phased-out raw materials, prepares disposition reports.
Responsible for KPI reporting incoming supply direct materials.
Communicates and follows-up if direct material incoming supply is at risk impacting ongoing operations.
Understands ongoing (NPI-) projects and impact to direct material planning.
Collaborates and follows up with other functions such as Procurement, Warehouse, and Quality to ensure a smooth incoming material flow.
Collaborates closely with the other planning functions in the Supply Chain department.
Participates in projects when required/applicable.
Issues Purchase Orders via E-marketplace for indirect materials for Supply Chain department.
Acts as back-up within Supply Chain department when required.Adherence to local and global SOPs.



Qualifications
Bachelor or Master’s degree within Supply Chain Management Purchasing/Logistics, Industrial Engineering or similar.
3+ years of work experience in raw material planning & purchasing, preferably in Medical/Pharmaceutical Industry.
Supply chain understanding
Experience with ERP systems (SAP).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools
Fluently in Swedish and English both speaking and writing

In this role it is required to work independently, while collaborating closely with others as well. To be successful in this position the ability to multi-task and prioritize are important.
