R&D Business Controller

One of our clients in Lund, a large company with global presence, is now looking to recruit a Business Controller in an effort to further strengthen their R&D team.Your contribution will be essential for driving the business to the next level of success!You will be closely interacting with the R&D programs and R&D departments to understand status, challenges and opportunities from a budgeting/cost perspective.It is important that you quickly get a thorough understanding of the business and operation.Your main responsibilities will include: * Support of management with advice and investigations * Support and drive establishment of business goals and follow up business results according to strategic planning, agreed objectives and approved budget * Recommend and initiate measures aimed to improve the unit's performance, as well as monitor internal efficiency * Manage the operation in accordance with valid laws, agreements, instructions, company policies and delegated management responsibilities You will be responsible for keeping track of the entire R&D financials within your area.This includes budgeting, cost tracking, time reporting follow-up, etc.It includes both resources internally and externally as well as hardware and software intellectual properties, Tools, Instruments and other investments.To your support you will have the Finance & Administration organization, who will deliver month end closings, forecasts and cost follow up.Competences An ability to understand the needs of the customers and their business, and to prioritize development activities accordingly is essential for this position.A successful candidate will also possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.Analytical skills and a result oriented mindset is also vital.To be successful in this position you should have worked several years in the field of Business Controlling.Further you should have a qualified experience from working in a project or development program environment.You have documented experience from structured analysis as well as a capacity to manage projects of significant size.You are a very organized person capable of handling large amounts of data in a structured way.You also have the ability to question tasks and methods, and contribute with effective and creative solutions.For this position a strong interest in finance is essential.Please submit your application as soon as possible.
