R&D Engineer - Polymer Technology

Industrial R&D within ABB Corporate Research within the Power Technology department in the group "Insulation Systems and Material Technology".
Strengthen the material and insulation team to develop new commercial interesting solutions to our T &D business.Focus in improving elctrical, thermal and mechanical properties in existing and new ABB products.

Your skills:
Educational background minimum Ph.D.in Material Science, Applied Physics, Chemistry, with focus on Polymer Technology.General and practical competence in Material Science with focus on Polymer Technology.Experience with silicone rubber and thermoplastics in high voltage applications are an advantage.Working experience with some electrotechnical products like transformers or a powercables is an advantage.Experience in industrial compounding of composites is also an advantage.

Fluent English, basic Swedish, excellent skills in communication with people from the business and high capacity for multi tasking.The actual person must have the potential to be a good project manager.
