Product unit Turning, within Sandvik Coromant Management and the R&D function, holds the responsibility of product management and development within the area of turning. We proactively develop and manage the introduction of Sandvik Coromant's turning offerings and deliver complete solutions to our customers, in order to commonly develop ours, as well as our customers, market position. We are now looking for two R&D Engineers, to join our highly competent team of ten developers and designers in Sandviken.

Key performance areas
As R&D Engineer, you develop world-class cutting tools and methods for turning, with responsibility for the full process, from understanding customer needs to launching a new product. An important part of the position is also building application knowledge for turning. Development is carried out based on customer input and needs from field tests at the customer's sites, and your work is almost exclusively done in project form, interacting with different parts of Sandvik Coromant. You also plan and conduct tests and verify tool performance in our laboratories, using modern equipment for metal cutting, and you use CAD Environment to visualize our ideas and prototypes.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a technical degree, or equivalent knowledge obtained through previous work assignments. Experience from the field of metal cutting and of design in CAD environment is advantageous. As we work in an international setting, you have good skills in English, in both writing and speaking.
