In this exciting role you will have opportunity to strengthen our R&D Project Managers team, that serves Hitachi ABB Power Grids T&SD Global with R&D projects.
We set up and execute R&D projects related to HVDC System, Valve development and MACH Control and Protection platform. We work together for a stronger, smarter and greener grid.
Your responsibilities
R&D Project Manager and/or Epic Owner for MACH to work with R&D Projects within Valves, MACH and System
Work completely or partially in a SAFe framework
Coordinate cross-functional EPICs (agile term; similar to projects) in close collaboration with Stakeholders, Product Owners, Teams and Line management
Involved in pre-study, design and development of cutting-edge technologies that enable the current and next generation of modular advanced control for HVDC (MACH)
Drive business development initiatives together with product management
Support and contributing to our continued development

You will work mainly in Ludvika with an opportunity to do part time in Västerås

Your background
You have master’s degree and strong technical background within power system or software development, preferably in HVDC, FACTS etc.
For SW Epic Owner you have several years of experience as software developer and/or architect. Good understanding of software/system modelling preferably by using SysML or UML
Experience from project management or other leading role within R&D, preferably in an agile and lean organization
It is essential that you find it easy to adapt to flexible environments, you are well organized and with top communication and leadership skills
You are a driven problem solver who willingly takes initiatives, delivers on time and according to expectations
You consider yourself to be a driven and eager to learn professional
Proficient in English since you will be part of an international setting where you will get to exchange knowledge with people from all over the world
