We now have an opening as Regional Market Support within Wood Coatings at AkzoNobel.

This is a European role with many contact points at different levels in the company. The successful candidate will also support the global direction of the SMU.

In this position you report to Regional Marketing Manager and the position is based at our site in Malmö.

As Regional Market Support OEM and Building Products you?ll assist the marketing department with analysis and understanding of upcoming trends and future needs at the market, this with the purpose to maximize profitability and growth for the region. The position consists of a lot travelling, about 50 % of your worktime. You will visit customers and machinery suppliers around the region to see and build an understanding of their existing needs, and to help the sales organization identify new potential customers. The customers are all over the segment of the wood industry on a European level.


Main duties and responsibilities:

- Analyze market data to support and identify key segment opportunities
- Research and analyze customers to fit with segment and regional strategies
- Work with the Regional Market Manager translating segment strategies, market research and customer requirements to create a detailed regional Market Segment tactical plan
- With support of the Marketing Specialists develop and execute communication plan for the region
- analyze and research local competitors in conjunction with sales to better understand our competitive advantage
- Ensure there is an effective prioritization process in place for short term laboratory work related to OEM and Building Products
- Provide Project Management for StageGate RD&I projects.


Job requirements / Candidate profile

- Marketing and/or commercial background with relevant work experience
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Additional European language is an advantage
- Experience from wood industry is an advantage

To be successful in this position you need to have understanding for the customer process. You also need to have good analytical skills, be an entrepreneur and have the ability to look ahead for what is upcoming. We believe that you are independent, but also capable to follow given processes. If you have skills in Project Management it is an advantage. Since you will have a lot of contact with persons in very different positions, good interpersonal skills is needed.
