Regional Network Expert

As part of the Regional IT team, you will be involved in innovation, design, and delivery of various IT solutions, ensuring the business requirements are met. SKF is on a digitalization journey and here is a great opportunity to join a dedicated force working towards enabling digital business through proactive development of network services while ensuring the day-to-day operations are stable.

You will be working in an outsourced IT environment focused on delivery of end-to-end infrastructure solutions, working closely with regional and global stakeholders, IT vendors and other IT teams.

Key responsibilities
As a Network Expert, you will consult internal customers, understand business requirements and work with IT network suppliers to ensure optimal solution is delivered to meet those needs. Together with your team, you will be responsible for the deployment and operation of network infrastructure within the region. Furthermore, you will:
• Secure correct solution designs for changes required for digitalization initiatives within established architecture guidelines
• Secure successful change implementation across diverse IT parties involved through active coordination and quality assured deployment plans
• Drive innovation and continuous user experience improvement in the network domain, together with global colleagues and with IT vendors
• Act as required in complex incidents and problems requiring SKF Infrastructure or network knowledge to ensure minimal business impact

We expect you to have
• BA/BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Extensive experience of working within the IT infrastructure and IT network area on a senior level
• Proven success examples of delivery network solutions in a global multi-vendor outsourced IT environment
• The ability to lead and execute without supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional language skills are beneficial.

Additional information for you
Location: Europe, preferably in one of SKF’s major sites. Local contract.
