Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you like change management, have a background within supply chain and demand planning? And do you enjoy leading teams and thrive working in a global context? Then you’re probably the one we’re looking for!
You’ll join Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions’ department Demand Planning & Logistics where you will be the planning and logistics manager securing the forecast and efficient supply chain set-up for one of our regions.
Briefly about the job
In this position, you lead a team of ambitious and driven planners and order managers supporting the sales in Europe, Western Africa and Russia. You’re responsible for our customer demand forecasting process and logistics network, and you proactively develop our operations from both a strategic and operational point of view. Together with your team, you make sure that we have a strong understanding and relevant information of our customers’ requirements - what they need in terms of products and services and how we can optimize our inventories and distribution network. You lead the transformation towards our new ERP system and change to a supply chain based on service level requirements. By working close to our sales managers and the management team for Global Operations, you ensure a more efficient and profitable tomorrow.
The location for this position is Sandviken, Sweden where the majority of the team members are based. Some international travel is included in the job.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone with a background formed within the field of supply chain and logistics, and a university degree from the same. You have a few years’ experience leading teams as well as from demand planning, forecasting and leading S&OP. Working in a truly global environment calls for excellent English skills while knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
Your leadership style is based on transparency, inspiring communication and giving the freedom to act. As a genuine people person, you easily and willingly interact with everyone you meet, and you establish trust, team spirit and engagement in our organization. Being business minded, result oriented combined with strong curiosity about supply chain methods and tools are keys to success in this role. You both challenge us and enjoy being challenged, and you’re at your best when you get to combine strategy with hands-on work. Add a passion for analytics, and you’re our perfect match!
