Several MOUs has been signed globally during 2019 and 2020 and two commercial contracts have been signed, in Sweden and in Dubai with installations during 2021. Azelio’s award-winning technology has received substantial global attention for its unique ability to store renewable energy and provide affordable and clean power on demand all hours of the day.




We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Regional Sales Director for the Middle East based in Dubai to help us expand our clientele.

You will be the front of the company and responsible for creating a sales pipeline for Azelio’s unique long-duration storage solution in the region. The goal is to drive sustainable growth through boosting sales and forging strong client and partner relationships.

Your position

You will co-develop and carry out our regional growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction by creating a sales pipeline for Azelio’s TES.POD and related services for different C&I segments. Your focus will be on the Emirates, KSA, Oman, Jordan, and Qatar, where the key segments are agriculture, mining, hotel resorts, aquafarming, oil and gas, off-grid communities, water treatment as well as medium-size C&I customers.

The aim of your work is to develop and implement comprehensive business models, using the sales channel of local commercial and technical partners as well as supporting our global project development team in developing our own long-duration storage projects with partners in the region. Your position includes activities like:

- Elaborate Azelio´s go-to-market strategy and business models in the specific geographic region in a way that ensures adherence to established laws, rules, and guidelines
- Negotiate and close deals with regional partners/resellers or directly with end-users, as well as overseeing product and supply orders and shipments in accordance with regional needs
- Responsible for Sales Pipeline Management, including carrying out sales forecasts and analysis, as well as presenting findings to VP Business Development & Sales and the Executive team
- Build, organize and lead a local sales team, once the regional company is set up, and assist in department budget planning and following up periodically
- Engage with our global business development team, technical departments, and local technical partners in structuring sales transactions
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to coordinate communication and marketing strategies in the regional market as wells as attend at relevant seminars, conferences, and events

Your profile

- Master’s degree in engineering and/or business administration
- Experience of working as a sales manager in the energy sector of the relevant region for more than 7 years; preferably already working in the Middle East
- Fluent in English; proficiency in a dominant regional language is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally. Strong IT skills in MS Office and CRM systems

You have leadership qualities, the ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals. You find solutions to complex problems and have strong negotiation skills.  You have strong social and networking skills, as well as the ability to maintain key relationships for the long term in the region.

You will be based in Dubai and report directly to the VP Business Development. You have the Availability for international and domestic travel (more than 90 days abroad)
