Service Solutions is a successful part of Grid and Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) unit with the ambition to grow on the global market the coming years. We have a mandate and strategy to support a global expansion based on Hitachi ABB Power Grids installed base and will be an important part of service business.
You will be part of Grid Integration – a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids business. Grid Integration supplies FACTS plants (shunt and series compensation) and services of the installed base for utility and industrial customers. The market is driven by the need to create stable power networks in an ever changing environment with increasing introduction of renewable energy, electrification of transportation and digitalization as main drivers.
As the Service organization we support our customers by enabling their systems to run 24/7. We do this by suppling a variety of conventional and digital services as well as by extending the system lifetime through upgrades.
GPQS Service Solution is looking for a new team player to serve our customers and grow the service and upgrade sales. There is a growing demand of renewing the power infrastructure and improving power quality globally where the competence center in Västerås is key to the future success. The growth of service business is an important part of the PGGI strategy and now we want you join our journey.
Your responsibilities
As Regional Sales Specialist, you will be working closely with other sales team members throughout the organization, located domestically as well as internationally around the world.
You will identify the target price and the winning bidding strategy together with the global Hitachi ABB Power Grids sales and tendering organizations.
Your responsibility is driving the local tendering process and formulating a competitive bid.
You will derive a technical solution matching our customer requirements together with the engineering team.
You will work closely on a day-to-day basis with our offices, mainly in Asia, making our offering meet the targets in the local market and develop business plans to secure orders.
There is a high level of responsibility where you need to take ownership of your opportunities and deliver according to deadlines.
Administration and structure are important parts of the work.
The candidate must be open for some international travels in this position.
You will be the key player handling the internal Risk Review process when needed, keeping our opportunities updated in SalesForce and negotiate with internal and external clients and suppliers.
You will be engaged in creating good relationships internally as well as externally on a long term basis. The highlight of this job is to find the winning strategy and to finally negotiate and close deals with our clients.

Your background
You preferably have a degree in Engineering or other related field, a technical interest and possibly a business administration background.
Preferably you have tender work background or experience in export or service sales.
As you will be working in a global environment, fluency in English, written and spoken alike is a must, whereas knowledge in other languages is a plus.
On a personal level, you are a self-motivated and reliable team player with an independent and result oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills.
You are good at building extensive networks internally as well as externally and like to negotiate.
You consider yourself to be an energetic, supportive and self-confident person who can handle both ups and downs and manage problems that may occur.
