Main Tasks
For our Billing Development Team within the Product and Process Development (PPD) department we are currently looking for a Release Engineer.

Billing Development Team is responsible for the development and maintenance of new functionalities within the company's Billing System (Portal Infranet) and for the development of interfaces from Infranet to surrounding service platforms.

As Release Engineer you will be responsible for coordination and execution of the deliveries to the various internal platforms. This is a key role in the team where all development activities are bundled into packages. In this position there are growth possibilities toward billing development.

" Coordinate bundling of software evolutions as delivered by individual developers into packages.
" Prepare packages for delivery to various internal platforms (development, testing, production).
" Provide instructions to IT Operations Department for deliveries to production environment.
" Document and improve delivery guidelines for development.
" Maintain and enhance delivery scripts and tools.
" Report issues on development and delivery process. Suggest and possibly implement improvements.
" Ensure code change management rules are followed.
" Possibilities to get involved with small-size development work on business systems.
" Occasionally you might have to work outside office hours when rolling-out to production, due to the fact that most of the systems are used 24h/24h.



Requirements

Musthaves:
" HBO degree or significant work experience.
" Shell scripting experience.
" Unix / Linux experience.
" Interested in software development.
Nice to haves:

Preferably experience with Java, C, HTML.
