You possess excellent communicative skills and a positive attitude. These skills and your deep knowledge in the fields of software development and computer security are your main strengths in the position as manager for the Lavasoft Research Department. Your interpersonal and analytical abilities are top level!

JOB DESCRIPTION
* Drive the development of anti-spyware products through expertise with the forms of malware and their behavior.
* Coordinate malware research according to the most damaging, widespread and current threats.
* Maintain and develop our Threat Assessment Index (TAI) as a primarily classification tool for malware.
* Manage the Research team, identify areas for research business development, coordinate malware research activities, and develop malware removal tools in cooperation with software developers.
* Establish solid communication and cooperation between the research and development departments.
* Develop and improve testing measures for new product/version releases.
* Establish set of procedures for research activities.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
You have at least 3-years of experience managing software development teams. You have experience in keeping the vision on track and delivering projects according to deadlines. You know how to evaluate and develop the skill sets of employees and have the ability to serve as a mentor for 'green' employees early in their career. You must have the ability to focus on longer-term objectives as well as organize and manage conflicting priorities across multi-discipline projects. Experience in the computer security industry is highly desired, and exposure to the anti-spyware industry is a strong plus, as well as an in-depth understanding of how malware affects computers and computer users in a home and/or business environment.

DESIRABLE
Experience in security software development. Knowledge in C, C++ or C#. Knowledge in GUI development. Knowledge in driver development for Microsoft platforms.
