Research Scientist

Oblique Therapeutics AB is now looking to recruit a highly driven and ambitious Research Scientist. The company’s focus is on developing therapeutic antibodies towards difficult-to-drug targets such as ion channels, mainly in the field of chronic pain.

Job description
As a Research Scientist, your main responsibility is to perform laboratory-based tasks, mainly electrophysiological assays.

Main areas of responsibility
· To use methods related to electrophysiology including patch-clamp methodologies and other relevant techniques for examining antibody candidates
· To analyze data, document results and write reports
· To keep track of supplies and expendables

Qualifications
Key qualifications are:
· PhD in Molecular Biology or equivalent
· Experience in patch-clamping on cell culture and slices
· Experience from cell culture, preferably human cell lines
· Desirable experience working with TRP ion channels
· Fluent in English with excellent communication skills



Highly valued qualifications are:
· Molecular biology techniques, such as western-blot
· Thorough working knowledge of the Office package
· Microscopy experience
