Research Scientist in Vivo

In vivo scientist
We are now looking for research scientists in vivo for future assignments. Relevant candidates have an academic degree (MSc or PhD) in Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology or equivalent, with a focus on in vivo work.

Required Background

• MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology or equivalent, with a focus on in vivo work
• Laboratory animal education
• Experience in administration (i.p., i.v., s.c. or gavage), taking blood samples and performing surgery
• Good experience of dissection and tissue sample collection
• Experience in developing, validating and executing in vitro assays 
• Experience of cell culture (cell lines, primary cells; eukaryotic or prokaryotic)
• Molecular biology (nucleic acid extraction and detection, quantitative PCR, cloning)
• Experience of Pharmacokinetics
• Up-to-date with relevant modern techniques
• Ability to independently plan, perform, analyse and interpret the work
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Very good computing and data handling skills.


Desired Additional Background

One or more of the following is an advantage:

• Experience from inflammation, cardiovascular, metabolic or CNS animal models
• Experience from behavior studies or phenotyping.
Please specify species, disease areas, animal models and methods you have experience from clearly in your application.

It is essential to have good organizational and communication skills and you should be able to analyze and summarize your results and be comfortable in presenting them.
