Proffice is now looking for a research scientist to work with protein production for structural analysis by NMR and X-ray crystallography.You will work in the Protein Engineering Section at the Structural Chemistry Laboratory at AstraZeneca R&D Mölndal, Sweden.The position is for 11 months with a preferential starting date by mid December.The Structural Chemistry Laboratory, Mölndal, is a centre of excellence supporting the AstraZeneca discovery organizations in Sweden, UK and US.The laboratory has around 35 scientists engaged in experimental research and the core disciplines are protein engineering, NMR spectroscopy and protein crystallography.The work will include expression, purification and biophysical characterization of recombinant human target proteins.The person we are looking for is science driven and technically skilled with an MSc degree together with several years of postgraduate experience from relevant research in an industrial setting or at a university.It is required that the candidate has a solid background in the purification and characterization of proteins for structural studies.
