Are you interested to be involved in opening a mine? We are currently seeking a Resource Geologist to join our geology department.
Our department is heading towards an expansive phase, with growing responsibilities in both exploration and mining for upcoming underground and open pit mines and their close surroundings in Kiruna, as well as for our Arvidsjaur and Tvistbo projects. As a Resource Geologist, you will develop and update the geological resource evaluations for both exploration and operational projects. The role involves both independent and cooperative work utilising technical skills within geostatistical analysis, resource modelling, application of QAQC procedures and reporting. An understanding of the value chain and the position of resource geology within it is important.
As a Resource Geologist, you will be a part of the geology management team, with a main speciality in resource estimation and geostatistics. An important aspect of the role is to support, involve and train younger geologists in various modelling and resource estimation processes, as well as being actively involved in interdisciplinary work with mining, processing etc. Therefore, an outgoing attitude and willingness to collaborate with others is highly valued.

Qualifications:
You are a Resource Geologist with a B.Sc. or higher degree in geology with a minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably within both exploration and mining. You have both practical and theoretical knowledge in ore modelling/resource calculation, preferably with experience from base metal projects. We would like your experience to be within resource estimation according to international best practice, and you are an experienced user of software such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine or similar. As we report according to PERC reporting standards (2021), experience in working with PERC or similar international CRIRSCO-based standards is required.
As a person you should be responsible and driven, but also accurate and perseverant. Flexibility and willingness to share knowledge and ideas is essential. The position includes interaction and contact both within and outside the company which requires good collaboration skills. You possess proficient written and spoken English, preferably Swedish as well, at least as a beginner or with eagerness to learn.

You will be based in Kiruna, close to the operation and the city of Kiruna, situated in Swedish Lapland above the Arctic Circle.
