Retail Area Manager Nordic - Lindt

About the role

Currently, Lindt & Sprüngli (Nordic) AB is operating eight chocolate stores spread over four markets. The goal of the stores is to invite chocolate enthusiasts from all over the world to experience Lindt’s competence and passion for chocolate making by offering the full width of our assortment in a unique environment. Lindt is the only chocolate company that can offer such a competence within the Nordic Region and we are very much looking forward to expand the network as rapidly as possible.

The position of a Retail Area Manager Nordic is a new and strategically important role for our growing business and will include all stores in the Nordic market place. In this role, you will report to the Head of Retail L&S Nordic and will be responsible for our store operations and will be the Store Managers' closest manager and support. Your performance will be measured based on the aggregate turnover of the store units and key performance indicators such as “average ticket value” and “conversion rate”.

Key elements in the successful operation of any Lindt store are exquisitely trained, knowledgeable and highly engaged “chocolate advisors” as well as a comprehensive and very effective promotion program. To ensure, implement, develop and follow up on these key elements will lie in your responsibility. You are also expected to have the required technical affinity to guide and assist all store personnel in operating given cash register solutions. The insights gathered through cashier transactions are fundamental for us in order to finetune our operations and build the base for any business adaptations.

Finally, we expect you to have the passion to fully engage in local opportunities as they may arise and to exploit the potential of the unique business environment that every store is positioned in.



We expect that you

- have an excellent track record in a similar position spanning over at least 3 years.
- know by own experience how a “modern trade” related store environment is operated.
- have an inside understanding of how a financially solid store is managed.
- know in detail what performance metrics are important to perform according to plan.
- consider yourself to have excellent organizational and leadership skills as well as a strong entrepreneurial spirit with an operational focus.
- have a very solid ability to plan and structure daily routines and at the same time an excellent problem-solving ability.
- have previously led leaders at a distance

The role includes a considerable amount of travelling with a selected number of nights away from home. You will be based at the headquarter of Lindt Nordic in Solna, Stockholm.
You are fluent in English in speech and writing, have high IT affinity (focus on Microsoft Office) and have a driver’s license.
