We are now looking for a substitute for our Retail Manager. This is a temporary position for 11 months starting at the beginning of May 2021, located at our Head Office in Gothenburg.

History  

Nudie Jeans is a denim brand founded in Gothenburg in 2001 by Maria Erixon Levin. With wear, tear and repair-way of thinking rather than fast fashion, the Swedish denim company provides and maintains a tradition true to the fabric’s history and characteristics. Nudie Jeans Co is sold in over 50 countries, in Nudie Jeans Re-pair Shops, online, and at third-party resellers. The company is privately owned and the headquarter is situated in the hometown of Gothenburg. 

Since the beginning, sustainability, both environmental and social, has been the essence of the brand. Besides a denim collection made entirely with 100% organic cotton Nudie Jeans has a transparent production showcased on the website and has implemented an ambitious repair and reuse-program. A ripped pair of Nudie Jeans can always be repaired free of charge in a Nudie Jeans Repair Shop. 

The Role: 
As Retail Manager, you are a part of the Commerce team and have a central and important role at Nudie Jeans. Reporting to the Retail & E-commerce Director, the Retail Manager is responsible for managing retail store operations across Europe and the USA. The Retail Manager will work alongside the leadership team to achieve sales and profitability across all retail stores as well as leading and motivating teams to achieve operational objectives.

The Retail Manager will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining a high level of consistency across store operational standards and be an advocate for promoting company culture and values. This role will partner with the Commerce Team and local Retail Team, assisting in the development and implementation of key change initiatives to enable improved business performance outcomes.

The Retail Manager will lead a team responsible for providing an excellent service experience in our Repair Shops. Your core partners are leaders from E-commerce, Customer Experience, HR, In-house, and IT.

Main responsibilities, but not limited to:


• Lead and motivate a diverse and highly agile team of four team members
• Ensure that owned retail policies and standards are being developed, implemented, and followed.
• Drive the implementation of an owned retail experience designed to deliver best-in-class customer service and facilitate in-store sales of our online products and offers.
• Manage budget, sales & planning.
• Create financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Sales analysis and take-actions.
• Own relationships with key business partners to understand and anticipate current and future business needs
• Take part in retail establishment and expansions including lead retail expansion, re-location, and re-negotiation projects within the store network.

Who you are:


• 3+ years experience in the retail or e-commerce industry, preferably at a mono-brand within the fashion industry.
• Numbers driven. Strong analytical ability.
• You get things done, whether it’s on your own or as a member of a team.
• Non-prestigious and has a “can-do attitude”, can easily switch from a strategic focus to an operational focus.
• Inspiring, independent, and global mindset.
• Strong people skills. Easily develops relationships and networks and has a good understanding of cultural differences.
• You have the ability to develop structures and processes for how Nudie Jeans can improve and move forward.

Required skills:


• You have proven leadership experiences from small to mid-sized teams. You are great at providing clear direction and motivating others.
• Able to influence and communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with team members, business partners, and leadership.
• You’re great at project managing your own time, prioritizing and creating time plans, and set deadlines for yourself as well as for others.
• Ability to identify and resolve both people and process-related issues
• Excellent communications skills. English and Swedish is our corporate language – professional level both orally and written is an must. Other languages are to your advantage but not a requirement.
