Role of Cloud Data Engineer in Stockholm

We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Cloud Data Engineer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.




Key Responsibilities:
Consultants' duties and responsibilities would be as follows:
Hands-on development in an agile development team performing data migration of a Kimball-based data model, its sourcing processes, and historical data
Implementation of scalable, dependable, and scalable solutions for working with large data sets
Working as part of an agile development team, ensuring responsiveness and good communication with stakeholders and other developers.



The migration project is well underway, and it includes:
SQL Server ETL solutions (stored procedures, SSIS), as well as the occasional command, R, or Python scripts
QlikView apps, dashboards, and server-side views to be migrated into a 3-layer PowerBI solution
SQL Server data warehouse with several databases and data models, including historic data
SAP Business Objects universes and a large number of reports used by a variety of business stakeholders, which should be migrated from Redshift to source cloud data.





Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:



Competency prerequisites for the applicant:
Expertise in data warehousing (normalised data models, slowly changing dimensions, ETL processes, etc.) in a SQL Server environment
Advanced SQL skills
Expertise in data model design, stored procedures, and ETL process development (Airflow + Python is a merit)

Experience working in governed production environments with version control tools, preferably Git, ensuring documentation throughout the product lifecycle and other best practises

Experience working with and designing solutions for large data volumes – millions or 100 million observations per day
Experience with business intelligence tools, preferably PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, and QlikView
We believe you are proactive, self-starting, and take ownership in order to succeed in this role.
To handle a migration of an extensive and complex solution at the end of its lifecycle, you are structured, analytical, and thorough in your work.

If the consultant has any experience, that would be fantastic.
Extensive knowledge of cloud service providers and related microservices
Knowledge of AWS and Redshift, as well as AWS certification
Programming experience in R and Python, as well as.net
Knowledge of trading data, such as trades, orders, and quotes
A solid understanding of statistical analysis and advanced analytics
Agile software development experience, such as SCRUM, is a plus
