Role of System Safety Engineer | 100% Remote

We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a System Safety Engineer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.


Key Responsibilities:
We're looking for a System Safety Engineer with experience in system safety, ISO262626, and monitoring methods to join one of our agile teams. The group is in charge of developing system safety and related diagnostic monitoring of propulsion and brake systems.


Software functionality that detects inaccuracies, prevents critical events, and mitigates the impact of a fault is part of the team's delivery. When it comes to minimising customer impact, we hold ourselves to the highest standards, which is why a focus on robust system design is critical.


The candidate will have the following principal duties and responsibilities:
Assist in the development of Functional and Technical Safety Concepts for systems with safety objectives or ASIL requirements.
Take part in evaluations of proposed technical solutions (in a predetermined architecture) in order to assess the feasibility of developing a SW solution.
Writing and reviewing safety requirements for ART LVC or our suppliers' software
Depending on the scope of each specific vehicle project, planning and scoring of safety test activities (Safety plan).
Collecting work products (such as test results) and preparing Safety Cases
Ensure that safety features do not detract from the customer experience.





Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:
We're looking for someone who is open-minded and curious, as well as someone who can work well with others. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated and not afraid to try new approaches to problems.


You have excellent communication skills, and we assume you speak English fluently (speech and writing). You are a technical team player who enjoys collaborating with people from various cultures. You have a strong analytical capability and are structured and organised in your daily work, in addition to being customer focused.


You bring software and system development experience, as well as a holistic perspective and excellent systems thinking. You have 3-5 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in engineering.


Competency prerequisites for the applicant:
Experience in software or system development
Master's degree in computer, electrical, mechanical, Applied Physics, or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent experience

Other:


It is advantageous to have the following knowledge & experience:
Knowledge of system safety and monitoring methods
ISO26262 knowledge
FMEA experience within SW-development

Language Requirements: Mastery of English & Swedish language in both speech and writing is required. It is advantageous if you have good oral and written skills is Swedish.
