Saab Automobile AB is looking for a Cost Engineer for Electronics The Cost Engineering department is a part of the global Cost Engineering organization within General Motors Europe (GME) Engineering Finance.The department is responsible for product cost as well as vendor tooling of all vehicle programs developed by General Motors. The position: As a Cost Engineer in Electronics you will work with estimates and analyses of product costs for components of future development projects.This includes understanding the cost of the chosen design and to determine target costs during the whole development process until Start of Production.You will also do analysis and evaluation of supplier requests driven by technical modifications or changes in manufacturing process.The work also includes preparation of competitive and internal benchmarks. We are looking for: We are looking for a person with a Bachelor / Masters degree of Electrical Engineering or with similar education or experience.You should have comprehensive knowledge and experience in the field of vehicle Electric/Electronics and have distinct cost focus and experience with cost calculation methods.As a person you should be flexible, have strong analytical skills and a motivated attitude.Good communication and negotiation skills is preferably.The work includes occasional travelling to suppliers or other General Motors facilities.Mark your application with the ref no 294-1869.
