Saab Automobile has in more than 60 years offered sporty and yet practical cars to drivers that seek alternative to the mainstream brands.Saab is the leading manufacturer of ethanol driven environmental cars in Europe and is delivering world class safety performance.Saab Automobile AB is a completely owned subsidiary to General Motors and in Trollhättan solutions are developed to most of General Motors product offer.The Vehicle Integration department in Trollhättan is now looking for a: Vehicle Performance Manager - VPM (294-1670) The Vehicle Performance organisation has the overall responsibility to define, balance and verify all characteristics in the vehicle such as safety, ride and handling, noise and vibrations, driveability, fuel consumption and more.The Vehicle Performance Manager is dedicated to one or several Vehicle projects and is a key person in the Vehicle project team, also working in close collaboration with the Saab Brand Center.The VPM is also the team leader for the characteristics expert team the task of which is to define and verify all requirements.An indispensable part of this job consists of vehicle assessment both on roads and on test tracks together with the Project team.We expect you to have good communication skills and to enjoy working in team, even with people of different cultures and background.You have a generally good understanding of vehicle performance and requirements.Previous assignment from one or more of the characteristics areas is required.You have a perfect knowledge of the English language, both in speech and writing, possibly also of German.
