SAAB Automobile AB is a world wide operating premium car manufacturer and is embedded in General Motors Europe organization.The Chassis Control Systems department in Trollhättan expands its capabilities to the future demands and looks for: Saab Automobile AB is looking for an Advanced Design Release Engineer (ADRE) for Chassis Controls architectures and software.(ref no 294-1556) The Department: The driving behavior of a modern vehicle is determined to a large extend by the software functions in the chassis like for example Hill Start Assist, Trailer Stability Control, ABS or semi-active damping.The chassis controls team is responsible for defining and executing the strategies for all electronically controlled chassis systems with the goal to create a repository of proven software modules and algorithms that can be re-used across all GM vehicles. As a ADRE you will: .Analyze technical and commercial trends, identify technical opportunities and drive innovation in your designated area..Manage part of the the Chassis Controls "Bill of Functions" to ensure fast to market introduction strategies.You will be responsible to make sure that deliveries are performed at the highest level of excellence, on time and with the required quality.In cooperation with purchasing you will be responsible for sourcing and other commercial activities are performed timely and correctly.The ADRE are the contact person from Chassis Controls to Platform organisations, Purchasing and Suppliers and represents chassis Controls in development projects where chassis controls tasks are affected.You will also be responsible for project documentation and report to Subsystem Leader and Global Chassis Controls Leadership.Qualifications : To be able to manage this job we would like you to have an Engineer degree (MSc/Diplom Ingenieur(TH)/Civilingenjör or higher) either a mechanical engineer/vehicle specialization with a strong knowledge of controls theory and electronics or a Controls Engineer/Electronics specialization with a strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics and vehicle systems.You will bring extensive experience from project leading role(s).As a person we would like you to have very good analytical skills and be very creative and innovative.You are a very convincing communicator and negotiator and have high ability to plan, execute and persistently drive long term projects and a strong drive to succeed.Fluent in spoken and written English and either Swedish or German is a merit.You should be able and willing to work independently in a Globalized environment.Union representatives are Anette Hellgren (SIF) tel.+46 (0)520-851 55 +46 (0)520-848 60.
