Saab Automobile has in more than 60 years offered sporty and yet practical cars to drivers that seek alternative to the mainstream brands.Saab is the leading manufacturer of ethanol driven environmental cars in Europe and is delivering world class safety performance.Saab Automobile AB is a completely owned subsidiary to General Motors and in Trollhättan solutions are developed to most of General Motors product offer.QRD Focus Area Leader - Infotainment (ref no 294-1566) The Engineering Quality-Electrical/Electronics Department is responsible for evaluating/monitoring product quality performance and implementing quality improvements in GME products.The performance is measured in e.g.Warranty statistics (IPTV, CPV) and Customer Satisfaction studies (NCBS, JDP).As a QRD Focus Area leader, your responsibilities will be to: - Lead one or more cross-functional QRD Focus Area Teams within the GME organisation, for the resolution of complex quality problems for all GME Brands (E.g.Opel, Saab and Vauxhall).Present the results to the Top Management.Address the needed actions to the corporate divisions involved (SQ, AS, Q&R, PE, Plants).Evaluate and follow up the progress of the problem solutions within the QRD Focus area.Decide on technical solutions and their priorities.Ensure that the planned business goals are accomplished.- Independently analyze the quality performance in the running production and in field vehicles.Develop the required remedies as immediate solutions for customer vehicles, as well as for the current production.Improve performance through component optimisation or improvement of the manufacturing process at the supplier and, if required, a completely new development.Seek approval for, and carry out, product changes, necessary validation and their release.- Present status and escalate road blocks, depending on the situation, to the appropriate management level.- Working out the Lessons Learned / Closed Loop Learning to support the continous improvement of the quality performance in the current production as well as for future products.- Be involved in the development of quality plans for the global projects.We are looking for a person with University degree in Engineering and minimum 6 years of experience in Product development, Supplier development, or equivalent.We value such qualities as leadership experience, ability to make contacts and motivate cross-functional teams in the applicant.Fluency in English is a requirement since this position requires close contacts with other GM-regions and suppliers.Mark your application with the ref no 294-1566.
