Safety Officer

About the job

We are currently hiring a Safety Officer to join our NPI team. The occupational health and safety officer is a key professional in Polarium’s work environment. In this role your focus will be to provide safety management, advice, monitoring and reporting in the workplace, as well as engage coworkers in programs that ensure safe practice. The Safety officer will be a functional support globally as well as have a customer interface regarding the handling of batteries. The position is based in Kista, Sweden.

Responsibilities:

- Set requirement on firefighting equipment
- Audits at our sites globally
- Support in contacts with authorities
- Emergency routines
- Define training programs
- Continuous improvement projects to improve safety
- Drive standardization for safety


Qualification and experience:

- Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering
- 1-3 years of firefighter experience
- Experience in firefighting training
- First responder experience
- Can work independently, take initiatives as well as lead the agenda
- English language in conversation and writing is a must
- Manufacturing experience is a merit
- Experience in lithium fire handling is a merit
- ISO 45001 knowledge
