Customer support, Sales Engineering Marine is looking for a Sales & Application Engineer, with focus on Marine Leisure products. Sales Engineering Marine is giving technical sales support to the regions for all Volvo Penta marine products and is now heavily increasing the hull and boat calculation part of our work. Our group holds the expertise for boat behaviour. Your main responsibilities: Be one of our experts on our new products, IPS - Inboard Performance System. This means collecting boat data, perform calculations and also do measurements in boats at boat builder location. Be one of our experts on hull design, and develop our knowledge in this field. Transfer competence to the market units and participate in the development of installation information and documentation. Be the department representative in some product development projects with main focus on control systems and participate in the launch of new products. Work with long term development of tools and methods that will add value to our products and improve the installation quality. Represent Volvo Penta at Customer & OEM meetings. Qualifications: M.Sc, Naval architecture or equivalent Experience from the marine industry is preferred. A winning team needs motivated people, for this reason we would like you to be interested in leisure boats and it's a plus if you are used to boating. You must also be fluent in Swedish and English, both in speaking and writing. Knowledge in additional languages is an advantage. Many international contacts come with this job and travelling is a natural part. Profile: You must have an open and positive attitude, with our customers in focus. Be goal orientated and able to work on your own initiative. Your ability to motivate and communicate with different kinds of people is essential.
