Syngenta is a world-leading agribusiness committed to sustainable agriculture through innovative research and technology.We are a leader in crop protection, and ranks third in the high-value commercial seeds market.Sales in 2007 were approximately $9.2 billion.Syngenta employs over 21,000 people in more than 90 countries.Syngenta Flowers breeds, produces and distributes high-quality pot and bedding plants to a world market valued at approx USD 3 billion.Syngenta Seeds AB, with HQ in Landskrona and a production site in Malmö, is now looking for a Sales Manager who can lead our sales force in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, as well as our personnel at the production site, in total approx 30 persons.Your task Based in Malmö, you will lead and monitor our commercial team in order to meet sales targets for Scandinavia.You will contribute to the country field force performance by creating value by developing, coordinating and implementing the annual Key account plan within the business.Within the set authorities you are to negotiate prices and conditions with key accounts and follow the downstream retail approach of the Business Development Group.Another important part of your task is, together with our local leader, to coordinate and take responsibility for the operations at our Malmö site. Your experience and personality You have a strong theoretical background at University level, preferably within Horticulture or Agriculture, or equivalent knowledge gained through proven experience.You have a solid track record in a demanding Sales and Marketing environment, with a minimum of three years experience from sales.A good understanding of the Flowers value chain in the defined territory, including sufficient knowledge about fast moving horticultural products, is of great value. You are an open person who likes to work with other people.You are a modern team leader with strong negotiating skills, as well as a good listener and an empathetic person.You have an eye for, and are interested in solving logistic problems at the same time as being driven by business results.
